BACKGROUND: Without current scientific evidence of efficacy or safety in the medical literature, Methyl-B12 injections are adminstered to children as a claimed autism "treatment". DISCUSSION: The ofen claimed "support" for the use of the use of this drug, is a "Parent Designed Report Form" that is said, by some, to detect changes in an autistic child that are too small or subtle for standardized and validated instruments (otherwise known as science) to detect. The author thoroughly reviews this parent-designed tool, its proponent's claims, and the numerous threats to validity. HARRY'S COMMENT: Parents are quicker than the science?
