BACKGROUND: Politics requires skepticism too. DISCUSSION: A so-called study apparently claims to show a specific correlation between mental illness and voter choices. Skeptical aspects of this story were fairly well-covered here and here, but this featured article is a source of skepticism that points out some important aspects of political use of statistics - especially publication bias. HARRY'S COMMENT: Don't be tricked by your own bias.
