Snow! Baby

We were fortunate enough to receive a Wii from my wife’s parents this past Christmas. Our whole family has been enjoying many of the games together. But, as much as it can really be a great activity during some much needed “family time”, the Wii seemed to be dominating much of the recent weekend afternoons.
So a couple of weekends ago, we took the family and one of the kids’ playmates to a favorite sledding area. We had plenty of snow, and the spot has enough of a slope to make about a 50-foot sled run (perfect for those little saucer-type sleds and dimestore inner-tubes). The kids had a blast all afternoon. Heck, despite the associated work of careful preparation for such an afternoon, even mom and dad had a blast. Here’s a brief account of just one of many memorable moments:
